Thanksgiving Around the Corner

Thanksgiving Day is around the corner and one can sense a flurry of excitement around town. Stores are displaying Christmas items; families are talking about food dishes to fix for Thanksgiving Day; people are fixing their homes; and traffic is getting bad.

In California, at last the weather has changed from warm to cool, and now and then there's a bit of rain.

To prepare for the holidays, we've  done some home improvements and shuffled some paintings in the process. The colorful acrylic from Hoi An, Vietnam is now above our brass headboard; and St. Anthony of Padua, that good saint who has showered us with blessings, is now at the foot of the stairs.

More work looms ahead, as the holiday season begins!
